How to Make USB Flash Drive Fast? : Pendrive Guide



USB Flash Drives are much popular these days. Technology related person has at least one pendrive with them for transfering datas, documents, photos etc. They Slows down after usage. So the following factors leads to slow down pendrive:


 1)The Age of pendrive. 
             Age of pendrive plays vital role for data transfer.As the younger is the age of your pen drive data transfer is fast..i.e new pandrives transfers data fast than old ones.

2)Your O.s. 
           What type of o.s are you using if you are using windows xp, then data transfer is slower than windows7 and in windows8 it is more improved than windows8. Copying from linux, mac os is normal.

3) Types of files.
            songs videos, and document files are transfered fast as compared to softwares.

4)File location:
             if your datas contains large no of floders and files but file size is small then it might also be reason.

5)USB version.
             Transferring data is faster in usb 3.0 than 2.0 & 1.0.

Lets Get in :

First backup your device(this means your datas will be lost permanently)

1)Changing File system
Never format in FAT32 format using NTFS file system because fat32 is old system of keeping data and NTFS is new and fast one!!!FAT32 cannot handle large amount of data at a time .
#For formatting Right click select Format then select NTFS file System and uncheck quick format and click on Start.

2)Changing Device policy
After formatting 
#Go to your device properties and click on Hardware tab select your device and click on Properties. and check for Better performance  . 


Click Ok


So your pendrive is fast now. Dont forget to safety remove hardware and eject media. Before you take out.
